Professional Learning Communities (PLC)

Every resource on effective teaching cites a reference to participating in a professional learning community; therefore, it was important to include this as part of the PowerUp framework as well. The PowerUp PLCs are online groups arranged by content area to provide those teachers who are not geographically close a connection with others who share their instructional focus. These groups hold "required" monthly meetings; however, the meetings are also recorded for later viewing as needed.
