Google Docs, Spreadsheet, and Presentation

Google for Educators

What is it? It is an application created by Google that allows the user to create work online and share them in real time. Docs works much like any word processing application; Spreadsheet works like any spreadsheet application, and Presentation works much like PowerPoint.

What if I've already created a document in another application? With Google Docs, you can upload your exisitng documents, spreadsheets, and presentations.

But I don't want everyone in the world to see what I'm working on? With Google Docs, you can choose who accessed your information simply by entering the email address of the people you want to share with.

What's the benefit here? You can edit and access your work from any computer with an internet connection, and your work will be safely stored online.

How am I going to use this in my classroom? You and your students can easily share information and ideas. Your students can not only collaborate with each other easily, but how about working with students from another city, state, or even another country?
